Eden Technology Wins AIIA NSW State for DIAS Computer Forensic Software System

Sydney, June 27, 2008 –– Eden Technology announced today that it has won the Research and Development category of the prestigious Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) NSW State iAward for its Digital Investigation Analysis System (DIAS). 
 
DIAS, which was developed at Eden’s Sydney headquarters, is designed for the rapidly growing computer forensics market. It provides investigators with a suite of sophisticated tools to help them analyse and interpret digital data and quickly produce intuitive, interactive outputs and results. DIAS is manufactured under licence from the Commonwealth of Australia represented by Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO).

Key Innovations
DIAS incorporates a number of key innovations such as:

• providing  a two-dimensional interactive visual environment within which forensic investigators can perform investigations and refine the results;

• a graphical Common Workspace that allows investigators to work collaboratively and share findings across a network with others working on the same case; and

• it solves the problem of amalgamating multiple hard disk drive images, allowing multiple investigators to simultaneously analyse data on various investigative paths, achieved through common and private workspace.

Market Potential

Eden is targeting both public and private sectors with DIAS. In addition to law enforcement and fraud investigation Eden sees increasing application in the corporate sector as organisations strive to comply with increasingly stringent corporate governance legislation.
